Ossipee Rhyolite is a welded tuff that is thought to outcrop near the
summits of Copple Crown Mountain and the Moose Mountains. A
secondary source occurs as boulders near Wolfboro in New Hampshire.

This material was prominently used in the New Hampshire Lakes Region and the
Atlantic Coastal archaeological assemblages in the Middle Archaic period.
